What to Prepare:.
Singing Audition Info:
Everyone will sing a Cheery Holiday Song of your choice or an upbeat musical theatre song. Your singing portion should be about 60-90 seconds in length. You must have an accompaniment track with no vocals that you will bring with you to the auditions on a phone, ipod or tablet. Instrumental versions of most Holiday songs can be found on youtube. No A Capella Singing will be allowed!
A dance audition will be taught at auditions.
Readings from the script may take place.
Productions Details
The show has a flexible cast size and will have multiple casts to allow for social distance on stage. As the theatre capacity will be capped including total of both cast and audience in the room these numbers will be taken in to consideration when casting.
Rehearsals will be Saturdays from 11:00-5:00 and Sundays 12:00-6:00.
Rehearsals will be split up by cast to allow social distance of smaller groups. See Below for our full Covid-19 Policies.
Tech Rehearsal will be held after school December 1st, 2nd and 3rd. As this is a one-act musical the schedule should be very manageable.
Performances December 4,5,6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 & 20.
Tuition will be $300 plus any additional costume fees.
Please note: This production will be held to the highest standards possible that we at SDFA believe are important to the theatrical experience while keeping the safety of audience and actors as the main priority. We must take in to consideration the budget constraints of smaller audience size, cast size and other issues presented by Covid-19 when producing this experience.
